Updates about Mike and Angie

Mike's grandmother passed away Sunday Aug. 24. Her funeral is on Friday Aug. 29. Her passing was somewhat expected. She was in her 90's and she was complaining of chest pains. She went into the doctor and they found out that she had pneumonia in her lungs and had been having mini strokes. When we heard of her passing, we were grateful to Heavenly Father for taking away her pain and letting her go home. My mother-in-law is grateful as well so that she doesn't have to worry about her any more. We also are excited for family to come into town to be able to visit with them.

Mike and I have callings. It sure didn't take them that long. Mike is the Elder Quorom's Secretary and I'm the Secound Counselor in the Primary. When I tell people my calling I get a lot of negative reactions. For now, it's going well and I'm enjoying it. On the other hand, I haven't done all that much since I was put in the first of Aug.

Work for me has slown down. It's kind of depressing because I'm used to working a lot of hours. Now I have to share my clients with school and I get them when they're out. I also lost a client because Mom wants to see how he does without PSR for a while. For his sake, I hope he does well. At the same time, I miss him.

Memories

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together (either with just me, just Mike, or the both of us!). It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

We got a Wii!!!

My PSR kids kept talking about the wii. We would go inside of stores and let them try it out for a minute. It got me hooked. When I went home, that is all I would talk about to Mike. Mike asked, "why don't you get one since you like it so much?" I stewed about it for a while not really knowing if I really wanted one or not. I would get to the point where I would go to buy it and then change my mind. Finally, Mike and I went and we both agreed that it would be our birthday, Christmas, and anniversary presents for the next two years. (We'll see if that actually happens). Now that we have it, we don't regret ever buying it. So far, we've played hours and hours on it.

Jarom gets married

Jarom and Anya got married. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding with a really good turn out. It was great to see family that I haven't seen in a long time.
