April Fool's Day

I taught Quinn what April Fool's Day was right when he woke up.  I had a toy spider that moves stashed away for some time and happened to find it the other day.  I thought that this would be a perfect time to use it.

Quinn put it on Mike's pillow.  How he placed it was obvious that it was fake.  When Mike opened his eyes he was sure the drama king.  This made Quinn happy that he could fool his dad.

Then, for breakfast, I put some cinnamon rolls in the waffle iron.  They looked just like waffles but had that wonderful taste with frosting and all of cinnamon rolls.  Mmm!  This obviously wasn't a mean trick but it was fun for a change.

You know how we have those birds now?  Almost every day Mike and the boys go and feed them worms.  After nap, I made some dirt and worms and ate them in front of Quinn.  He was so grossed out and couldn't figure out why I would eat them.  In fact, he became so curious that he went to go get his own worms to try one out.  He was pretty upset that I would not share mine.

I let him go get some.  When he was about to take a bite I told him, Fine you can have some.  He took a bite and then realized I tricked him.

He was excited to do it to his dad.  I had him practice what he was going to say.  Let's say that rehearsal went a whole lot better than the actual trick.  Of course, Mike knew right away but was such a good sport he went along with it.  It was so cute to watch Quinn in action.

Quinn will ask if there are any other foods that he can be tricked with.  He got a lot of tasty treats on April Fool's.  He got a kick out of the whole day.

I didn't get a lot of pictures.  I wish  I would have recorded Quinn trying to trick his dad with the dirt and worms.

On a side note...I was wrong about Quinn keeping the one chick's name Stinky.  His name is actually Zebra.  So there's Mole, Rhett, and Zebra.  I'm not sure if he's trying to say Barrett instead of Rhett.  When I repeat it he says that I said it right.  I'm not sure where he heard of Rhett either.
