Almost went to school

On Thursday, Mike went up to ISU to see what it would take to go to school to become a teacher. He went up to find out information but instead was signed up for classes. We were both hyperventilating and trying to figure out what it would take to make this happen. The college told him that he could be teaching by fall if he made his resume look very super impressive. He wouldn't actually finish for 2 or more semesters. The kicker is...classes start this Monday(tomorrow). It would have been 2 night classes one Monday and the other on Friday. He wouldn't be home until 10:00 every night. He would go full time in the summer, etc. until he was finished.

Mike went to work the next day and of course the only thing on his mind was starting school. After much prayer and meditation he decided that it wouldn't be worth going for what he'll get out of it.

We agreed that he would start looking for another job. If you know of any openings or have any suggestions of what Mike would be good at, please let us know.

One more thing...Mike got a new calling today. He's the assistant to the ward clerk. He's the one that will be sitting in the front during sacrament meeting taking notes and then counting people. There goes us sitting together during church.

My husband has been a ward clerk for the last year and a half. He just got released and I was soooo happy that we would be able to go to classes and stuff together again. Then guess what? He got called to be the executive secretary. Awesome huh!? So I know how you feel.
